I love it when mother nature gives me something to blog about.  We had our first snow of the season last night and this morning.  A good 10 inches or so is on the ground and more is in the air.

We have great snow-shoeing on our 47 acres with great birding opportunities, or bring your own x-country skis and blaze your own trails on our acreage.  Good winter boots and binoculars are a good idea. We have 4 pairs of complimentary high tech. snow shoes available for guest use.

We are just 10 minutes to the trails at Wye Marsh for cross country skiing or snowshoeing and we are 8 minutes to the slopes at Mt. St. Louis-Moonstone for downhill.  Horseshoe Valley is about 20 minutes away, which offers both downhill and x-country.  We are a short 15 minute drive to Mountain View in Midland for X-country as well.

Hope to see you this winter !
