Banana Buttermilk Whole Wheat Pancakes

½ cup whole wt. Flour

½ cup all purp. Flour

3 tbsp. Brown sugar

½ tsp. Baking pwd.

¼ tsp. Baking soda

½ tsp. salt

1 cup buttermilk

1 egg

1-1/2 tbsp. Butter melted

1/2 tsp vanilla

2 tsp. Veg. Oil

1 large ripe banana Maple Syrup

Chopped toasted walnuts for serving


Directions

Combine dry ingredients. Whisk buttermilk, egg and butter and oil. Add wet to dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Cook in batches, top pancakes with 3-4 slices of banana before flipping. The banana slices caramelize while cooking. Makes 8 large pancakes
