Sharp-shinned Hawk

We often get Sharp-shinned Hawks stalking birds at our bird feeders. I’m sure to a hawk, a bird feeder is like McDonald’s with all it’s potential meal possibilities and a great place for a quick meal. You always know when there is a hawk in the yard as it suddenly goes extremely quiet and the birds disappear. If the hawk is lucky you might find a few feathers in the yard from that day’s unfortunate victim. The circle of life.
